The Midwest Holy Cross Associates have produced a video to publicize their association and recruit new members. Sponsored by the Midwest Province of Brothers (Notre Dame, Indiana, United States), the Associates are a group of “laymen and women answering God’s call to embrace the heritage and charisms of Holy Cross.” Local chapters exist throughout the United States, and there is also a chapter in Ghana.

Founded over 25 years ago, the Midwest Associates build on the Congregation’s long-standing tradition of working and collaborating closely with the laity. Blessed Basile Moreau, the founder of the Congregation, saw laymen and women as an essential part of the family and mission of Holy Cross.
The Midwest Associates’ mission statement asserts: “We witness with zeal, hope and our annual commitment to grow spiritually, form community, and serve God’s people. We develop collaborative relationships with the members of Holy Cross communities creating a family spirit of love and inclusiveness, our gift to the Congregation of Holy Cross, the Church and the world.”
The new five-minute video, produced with the help of “New Group Media,” seeks to spread the word about the associates, which just received approval as a non-profit organization in the United States. The Midwest Associates hope to draw more people into their chapters, that meet regularly to pray, find fellowship, and learn about and draw upon the spiritual heritage of the Congregation. The members renew each year their commitment, which includes fulfilling a personal ministry.
