Four Ordained Priests for the United States Province

Ordination US Province 4.10.2021

April 10, 2020, was a joyous day for the Congregation of Holy Cross's United States Province of Priests and Brothers. On that day, Fr. Robert Lisowski, C.S.C., Fr. David Smith, C.S.C., Fr. Felipe Campos Reséndez, C.S.C., and Fr. Geoffrey Mooney, C.S.C., were ordained at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame.

The Most Rev. Arturo (Bud) Colgan, C.S.C., Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of the Diocese of Chosica, Peru, was the ordaining Bishop. Fr. Robert Epping, C.S.C., Superior General, also attended the ceremony.

Although family and friends of those to be ordained were present, the seating capacity in the Basilica was limited as the Province strictly adhered to the University of Notre Dame's coronavirus protocols.

Ordination US Province 4.10.2021

The newly ordained will continue at the assignments they had as deacons. Fr. Lisowski, C.S.C., will stay at the University of Notre Dame where he currently serves as a Residence Hall Rector. Also remaining in South Bend is Fr. Mooney, C.S.C., who will become Associate Pastor at Christ the King

Parish. Fr. Smith, C.S.C., will be Associate Pastor at St. John Vianney Parish in Goodyear, Arizona, and Fr. Reséndez, C.S.C., will return to his home state of Texas, where he will serve as Associate Pastor of St. Ignatius Martyr Parish in Austin.
