Footprints
The Constitutions of the Congregation of Holy Cross state, “We live our consecration in many lands and cultures. Our commitment is the same wherever we are, but we seek to express it in a manner rooted in and enriched by the varying contexts and cultures in which we live. In this way we hope to make our witness and service more effective for the kingdom” (5:25). The same is true of the Congregation's mission, spirituality, and charism as they, too, are enriched by the different contexts and cultures in which Holy Cross serves.
Footprints Magazine is a bi-annual publication of the Office of Communications of the Holy Cross Generalate dedicated to exploring the charism, spirituality, and mission of the Congregation of Holy Cross as it is lived out across the globe today. It aims to support the ongoing formation of our members and mission partners by offering insights, stories, and reflections that resonate with our shared mission.

Volume 1 - Education: Work of the Resurrection
This issue explores what is at the heart of the Holy Cross charism: the ministry of education as a "work of the resurrection." There is an insightful piece by Fr. James King, C.S.C., and Fr. Joe Pedersen, C.S.C., on Blessed Basile Moreau’s vision of “Resurrection, Education, and Communion”. Subsequent articles reveal the diversity of inspiring ways in which Holy Cross today carries out the founder’s vision in different cultures and different locales.
