Cardinal Michael Czerny, S.J., Visits St. Joseph's Oratory

His Eminence, Cardinal Michael Czerny, SJ

On November 21, the Feast of Christ the King, His Eminence, Cardinal Michael Czerny, S.J., Under-secretary of the Migrants and Refugees Section of the Holy See's Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, visited St. Joseph's Oratory. A Canadian and former resident of Montreal, Cardinal Czerny celebrated the Mass in the Basilica for the official closure of the Year of Saint Joseph at the Oratory. The Mass was streamed live with more than 5,000 viewers online.

As part of his visit, the Cardinal toured the Oratory, viewed the progress of the major construction site, prayed with pilgrims in the Votive Chapel, and made a private visit to the tomb of St. André Bessette.
