Educational Symposium Hosted at Holy Cross College in United States

Over 50 Holy Cross educators from the elementary and high school levels participated in a Holy Cross Educational Symposium on the Congregation’s charism and values on April 15-16. The symposium was held on the campus of Holy Cross College in Indiana in the United States. Among those in attendance were six Holy Cross educators from Bangladesh, Ghana, and Brazil, showcasing the increasing international collaboration in education within the Congregation.

The symposium featured keynote speakers Dr. Marco Clark, President of Holy Cross College, and Dr. Chris Haug, Provincial Assistant and Director of Apostolic Mission and Charism for the United States Province of Priests and Brothers. Their keynotes were complemented by other presentations and conversations surrounding the education of hearts and minds.

The symposium was co-sponsored by Holy Cross College, Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, and the Congregation of Holy Cross’s Midwest Province. Br. Ken Haders, C.S.C., Superior of the Midwest Province, was in attendance, as was Br. Prodip Placid Gomes, C.S.C., Second General Assistant and Chair of the Congregation’s Education Commission, representing the General Council.

The participants expressed their gratitude for the symposium and the opportunity to gather with others who are passionate about promoting the values and charism of Holy Cross for the benefit of our students.
