Eight Men Professed their First Vows in Holy Cross

First Vows 7.30.2022

On July 30, eight men from the U.S. Province of Priests and Brothers and the Province Canadienne professed their First Vows as religious of Holy Cross at Sacred Heart Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Fr. Peter Jarret, C.S.C., Vicar Provincial of the United States Province, presided at the Mass of First Profession. Fr. Jeffrey Cooper, C.S.C., Novice Director, preached. Present for the occasion were families of the newly professed, community members, and parishioners.
 
Fr. Jarret and Fr. Pierre Labine, C.S.C., delegate of Fr. Mario Lachapelle, C.S.C., Superior of the Province Canadienne, received the vows of the novices from their respective provinces. Also attending from Montreal was former General Councilor, Fr. Jerome Joseph Jose, C.S.C.

We congratulate our newly professed religious of Holy Cross. Mr. Meo Wilfrid Labossiere, C.S.C., is from the Province Canadienne. The remaining seven newly professed are from the U.S. Province: Mr. Andrew James Copp, C.S.C., Br. John Eli Draves, C.S.C., Br. Jacob Alan Gorman, C.S.C., Mr. Ethan Freeman Kelley, C.S.C., Mr. Benjamin Isaac Sasin, C.S.C., Mr. Timothy Paul Wymore, C.S.C., and Mr. Robert William Weltner, C.S.C.
 
A reception followed at the parish for those who attended the profession with dinner later in the evening at the novitiate for family and community.
