Haiti Celebrates Priestly Ordination

Priestly Ordination in Haiti, Fr. Brunel Victorin, C.S.C. - 2025

June came to a joyful close for the Congregation of Holy Cross’s Our Lady of Perpetual Help Province in Haiti as they celebrated the Priestly Ordination of Fr. Brunel Victorin, C.S.C.

The Ordination Mass took place on 28 June at Collège Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours in Cap-Haïtien. The presider was the Most Rev. Yves-Marie Péan, C.S.C., who has served as the Bishop of Les Gonaïves for 22 years.

A festive reception and celebration followed the Mass, bringing together Fr. Brunel’s family, the Holy Cross family, and many other religious and lay men and women.

Fr. Brunel had previously made his Final Profession of Religious Vows in the congregation on 28 December 2024. He was ordained a deacon on 9 February by the Most Rev. Quesnel Alphonse, S.M.M., Bishop of the Diocese of Fort Liberté. He will begin his priestly ministry, continuing in his role as the province’s executive secretary.

Fr. Brunel’s Mass of Thanksgiving in his hometown will take place in August, as following his Ordination, he immediately left for France to participate in the Congregation’s inaugural Final Vows Program in Le Mans, France.
