On 17 October, five novices from St. Joseph Province and ten from Sacred Heart of Jesus Province made their First Vows in the chapel of Oriental Institute, Sagardi, Barishal, in Bangladesh. His Eminence Patrick Cardinal D’Rozario, C.S.C., Archbishop Emeritus of Dhaka, presided at the Mass of First Profession.

Br. Ripon James Gomes, C.S.C., Superior of the St. Joseph Province, received the vows of the novices from his province: Br. Alvis Genius Gomes, C.S.C., Br. Joggo Michael, C.S.C., Br. Leo Anthony Chambugong, C.S.C., Br. Shom Albin Corraya, C.S.C., and Br. Shohel Peter Mondol, C.S.C.

Similarly, Fr. George K. Rozario, C.S.C., Superior of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Province, received the professions of the novices from his province: Mr. Amil Martin Kerketa, C.S.C., Mr. Arbin Anthony Costa, C.S.C., Mr. Arthik Joseph Chambugong, C.S.C., Mr. Don Bosco Mankhin, C.S.C., Mr. James Ignatius Hembrom, C.S.C., Mr. Partho Paul Chisik, C.S.C., Mr. Prapto Alphonse Rozario, C.S.C., Mr. Premick John Tripura, C.S.C., Mr. Sonjoy Nicholas Rangsa, C.S.C., and Mr. Tapos Andrew Rozario, C.S.C.

Many religious from various congregations joined in the First Profession Mass in addition to the family members and friends of the novices. After the Mass, the newly professed were given a reception with flowers, song, and speeches. Then all enjoyed the delicious agape meal.
