Holy Cross in Haiti Celebrates Seminarian’s Final Profession

Mr. Brunel Victorin, C.S.C. Final Vows in Haiti 2024

The Christmas season had extra joy for the Congregation of Holy Cross’s Province of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Haiti as the community celebrated the Final Profession of Mr. Brunel Victorin, C.S.C., on Saturday, December 28.

The Mass of Final Profession was held in the chapel of Collège Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours in Cap-Haïtien. Fr. Rosemond Marcelin, C.S.C., Superior of the Province of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, presided and preached at the Mass. Mr. Victorin had chosen as the theme for his Final Profession “My Lord and My God”.

Attending the Final Profession along with members of the province were, Mr. Victorin’s parents, his younger siblings and friends of Holy Cross. Following the Mass, the celebration continued with a reception for all those present.

Mr. Brunel Victorin, C.S.C., joined Holy Cross following his graduation from the Congregation’s Collège Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours in Cap-Haïtien. After completing his postulancy, novitiate, and philosophy in Haiti, he continued his initial formation and theological studies at the Santa Cruz House of Formation in Santiago, Chile. Gifted with a sharp, engaged intellect, Mr. Victorin graduated with distinction. His apostolic work during formation included pastoral minister to the homebound, small group leader in Confirmation preparation and vocation promoter.

This past year Mr. Victor completed a pastoral year at Collège Sainte-Croix in Limbé and began work as the province’s Executive Secretary. He will continue in that responsibility now following his Final Profession
