Latin American Novitiate Celebrates Four First Professions

On January 6, 2024, the four novices from the Holy Cross Novitiate in Huaycán, Peru, professed their First Vows in the beautiful Santa Cruz Chapel of El Señor de la Esperanza Parish in Canto Grande. Fr. Alfredo Hernández, C.S.C., Assistant Novice Master, presided at the Mass, which was enthusiastically attended by members of the Holy Cross Family, including brothers, sisters, and priests.

Of the four newly professed, two are from Brazil and once each from Mexico and Peru. Br. Ronaldo Almeida, C.S.C., Superior of the District of Brazil, received the professions of the two novices from their country: Mr. Gilliard dos Santos Passos, C.S.C., and Mr. Jorge Luís Campos Pavão, C.S.C. Fr. José Ahumada, C.S.C., Superior of the District of Chile-Peru, received the professions of the novices from Mexico, Br. Mauricio Miranda López, C.S.C., and from Peru, Br. José Yocimar Pacherres Yamunaqué, C.S.C.
