The Congregation of Holy Cross’s Province of North East India celebrated its third Priestly Ordination of 2026 on 14 May. Fr. Eldho Augustine, C.S.C., was ordained at St. Augustine’s Church, Pulikurumba, in Kerala, which is his home state in the South of India. The Most Rev. Mar Joseph Pamplany, Archbishop of Tellicherry, was the ordaining bishop.

Both the Ordination Liturgy and the First Holy Mass were celebrated in the Syro-MalabarRite, reflecting the rich liturgical heritage of the local Church in Kerala.

A large number of Holy Cross religious from both the Province of North East India and the South India Province participated in the celebrations, along with diocesan clergy, religious sisters, family members, parishioners, and friends.

The previous month, Fr. Eldho’s two classmates, Fr. Akhsi Wari, C.S.C., and Fr. Tarshish Marak, C.S.C., were ordained on 14 and 15 April, respectively.

Eldho will begin his priestly ministry as Assistant Priest at Good Shepherd Parish, Jongksha, in the state of Meghalaya. Fr. Akhsi has been appointed as Vice Principal ofHoly Cross School, Panisagar, Tripura, and Fr. Tarshish has been appointed Assistant Priest at Holy Cross Parish, Mawpat, in Meghalaya.
