The university community had previously held an “internal inauguration” of the building, which represents a new era for the institution, on May 14. That event included a special prayer session held in the building’s large auditorium. On that day, Fr. Rosario in his role as Board Chairman as well as Provincial Superior expressed the common hope that the building would allow the university to enhance the quality of its educational offerings and make it of greater service to Bangladesh.

Following the national anthem, Fr. Gaffney in his address as Vice-Chancellor thanked all those who have supported the foundation and growth of the university over these 10 years. Other speakers who followed also expressed the hope that NDUB will continue to improve the quality of higher education for students and engage in research that will be exemplary for others.
