Thirty-three educational leaders from the 19 schools of the Province of North East India gathered for their annual conference June 30 to July 2 at the Province House in Agartala.
The meeting was inaugurated by Smt. Chandni Chandran, IAS, Director of Secondary Education of the Government of Tripura, in the presence of Fr. Simon Fernandes, C.S.C., Superior of the Province of North East India, and Fr. George Jacob, C.S.C., Secretary of Holy Cross Educational Foundation. She spoke in appreciation of the contributions of Holy Cross to education in the region.
The inaugural session was followed by a session on “Continuous Professional Development: A NEP 2020 Perspective” by Dr. Mun Mun Das Biswas, Assistant Professor of Education at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, Agartala.
On the second day, Dr. Rakshit Tandon, a nationally acclaimed cyber security expert, interacted with the participants on “cyber security and cyber hygiene.” In the afternoon, Fr. K.J. Abraham, C.S.C., Director of the Moreau Institute of Integral Training, Shillong, spoke on “care and safety of the children.”
On the last day, the participants were addressed by Ms. Salony Priya, Founder and Director of Ummeed Counselling & Consulting Service on “innovative and inspiring leadership.” The conference concluded with participants expressing their appreciation to the presenters and to the Holy Cross Educational Foundation for their organization of the continuing formation gathering.
