The St. Joseph Province and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Province in Bangladesh give thanks to God for the 15 newly professed religious. Fr. George Kamal Rozario, C.S.C., newly elected Superior of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Province, presided at the Mass of First Profession, and Fr. Sushanto Anthony Gomes, C.S.C., Assistant Provincial, preached the homily.
Fr. Rozario, C.S.C., and Br. Subal Lawrence Rozario, C.S.C., Superior of the St. Joseph Province, received the vows of their respective novices. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the Mass was a private celebration in the Holy Cross Novitiate Chapel, Sagardi, in Barishal, with limited Holy Cross and local religious attending. After the liturgy, there was a short thanksgiving program, which included speeches and entertainment, followed by a festive meal.
In preparation for their first profession, the novices attended a six-day retreat preached by Fr. Vincent Bimal Rozario, C.S.C., on the theme, “A Call to Discipleship as Holy Cross Religious"
