With abundant joy and thanksgiving, the U.S. Province of Priests and Brothers celebrated the Ordination of three religious to the priesthood on Saturday, April 23. The ceremony was held at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, on the University of Notre Dame campus in Notre Dame, Indiana

The Most Rev. Kevin C. Rhoades, Bishop of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, conferred the Sacrament of Holy Orders on Fr. Cameron Cortens, C.S.C., Fr. Drew Clary, C.S.C., and Fr. Gabriel Griggs, C.S.C., in the presence of community, family, friends, and parishioners. The three had previously professed their Final Vows in the Congregation on August 28, 2021, with two classmates from Bangladesh. They were ordained deacons the following day.

In speaking about the newly ordained, Fr. William Lies, C.S.C., Provincial, said, “They are thoughtful and compassionate ministers of God’s friendship, something our Church and our world need more than ever. We in Holy Cross are so grateful to have them walking with us in our mission to make God known, loved, and served.”
