On Friday, November 20, 2020, Fr. Ananda Joseph Mondol, C.S.C., was ordained to the priesthood along with four other deacons from the Khulna Diocese. The Most Rev. James Roman Boiragi, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Khulna, presided and preached at the Mass of Ordination in St. Mary’s Church Muzgunni.

Concelebrating the Mass were Fr. James Clement Cruze, C.S.C., Provincial, Fr. Jacob S. Biswas, C.S.C., Vicar of the Khulna Diocese, and several other Holy Cross and diocesan priests.

Although attendance at the ordination was limited, the invited guests participated in a reception ceremony after the Mass to congratulate the newly ordained.

The following Sunday, Fr. Mondal offered a Mass of Thanksgiving at his home parish, Christ the King Church, in Satkhira. Fr. Mondal is assigned to St Francis Xavier Church in Foilzana, the same parish he served as a deacon.
