Logo and Banners

A special logo was commissioned to capture the Year of Mission's theme of Hope Beyond Borders. Beyond the year of mission itself, the logo represents the Congregation of Holy Cross's ongoing vocation and mission to cross borders of every sort as people with hope to bring.
The world map symbolizes the worldwide mission of the Congregation of Holy Cross which lives and ministers in 18 countries (which will soon be 19 with the opening of the Holy Family Mission in Bougainville, Papua New Guinea). It also symbolizes our multicultural community.
The golden circle symbolizes that by crossing borders of every sort in our mission, we grow more united as one Holy Cross Family. It also symbolizes the presence of God enveloping the entire mission of Holy Cross.
The flame symbolizes both the presence of the Holy Spirit guiding the Congregation as well as our zeal, the burning desire in our hearts to make God known, loved, and served.
The Cross and Anchors capture our Congregational motto, given by our Founder, Blessed Basile Moreau: Hail the Cross, Our Only Hope.
The outstretched hands extending to connect symbolize both the inclusivity of our mission as well as our efforts to reach out across all borders to form communities of the coming kingdom. This is also symbolic of the Providence of God, guiding the mission of Holy Cross.
