General Chapter Documents

2022 General Chapter, Preamble to Mission & Ministries Section

This preamble reaffirms the Congregation's two mission priorities and explores what they mean in the context of the mission today. It poses the question: How might we create a more profound sense of the global Holy Cross mission to do God's work?

Discernment Guides

To assist in the discernment process, the General Administration has made two resources that are based on a more synodal style of decision-making.
  1. Year of Mission Discernment Guide: This guide lays out a simple process to identify where God is asking a ministry, apostolate, or jurisdiction to expand its missionary work during this Year of Mission.
  2. Congregation of Holy Cross Mission Discernment Guide: This is a wider, more detailed guide that draws on the Holy Cross charism to guide a ministry, apostolate, or jurisdiction in any decision-making related to mission.
