This webinar is being hosted in collaboration with Holy Cross Family Ministries, which carries on the legacy and mission of Venerable Patrick Peyton, educating families in prayer, especially the Family Rosary. Fr. Fred Jenga, C.S.C., President of HCFM, will speak on "The Family as the Seedbed of Faith and Mission: Lessons from the Global South". Fr. Willy Raymond, C.S.C., President Emeritus of HCFM, will present on "Fr. Peyton's Vision Reimagined: Evangelizing the Modern Family through Prayer and Media". Fr. Pinto Paul, C.S.C., International Director of HCFM, will address "Family Ministry as a Core Element of Holy Cross Mission: A Global Call".

This webinar explored the examples of the two patrons of the Year of Mission: Servants of God Br. Flavian Laplante, C.S.C., and Bishop Vincent McCauley, C.S.C. Both exemplified lives given in service of the mission of bringing hope beyond borders. Br. Laplante, originally from Canada, gave most of his religious life in service of the poor in Bangladesh, while Bishop McCauley, born in the United States, was one of the Congregation’s pioneering missionaries to Uganda, where he became a bishop and helped build up the local Church.

Sr. Nathalie Becquart, X.M.C.J., is a member of the Congregation of Xavières. After serving 10 years as the Director of the National Service for the Evangelization of Young People and for Vocations within the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of France, she was appointed by Pope Francis in 2019 as a consultor to the Synod of Bishops. The late Holy Father then appointed her in 2021 to serve as undersecretary to the Synod of Bishops. She is the first woman to hold such a position and the first woman to have voting rights in the Synod.

This webinar focused on the mission of Holy Cross as articulated in the Congregation's early Constitutions. Br. Joel spoke on the importance of zeal in continuing the mission, the nature of mission as Blessed Basile Moreau understood and expressed it. He also emphasied the priority of prayer for our mission.
